Joined by members of our Board of Directors and CHP President & CEO, Dr. Eleace Sawyers, Congresswoman Underwood toured our current health center and visited the future site of our expanded Mendota Health Center.
Recently, Congresswoman Underwood secured a much needed Community Project Funding to expand CHP’s Mendota Health Center. The project will transform a 10,666-square-foot building into a larger health center that will provide comprehensive medical, dental, and behavioral health services.
Congresswoman Underwood also took the time to meet with our staff, discuss the challenges facing rural healthcare, and learn more about other meaningful projects CHP is leading to expand access to high-quality care for Mendota and other Illinois communities.
CHP is grateful to Congresswoman Underwood for her continued support of community health centers securing this federal investment to strengthen rural healthcare. This expansion will allow CHP to expand services, increase capacity, and continue fulfilling our mission of ensuring that every individual has access to high-quality care close to home.
