On Monday, June 16th, Dr. Eleace Sawyers, President & CEO of Community Health Partnership (CHP), welcomed Illinois State Senator Liandro “Li” Arellano to our Mendota Health Center.
The State Senator toured our state-of-the-art mobile clinic and health center, gaining insight into the needs of our site and the community. A key takeaway from the discussion was the mutual agreement on the importance of ensuring rural areas like Mendota have access to quality healthcare.
Senator Arellano was also able to speak with Melissa Galvez, Operation Manager, and other staff members.
CHP’s presence in Mendota is a testament to our commitment to bridging the healthcare gap in underserved communities. The meeting with Senator Arellano highlights our ongoing efforts to collaborate with policymakers and advocate for support that enables our communities to thrive.
