Our executive team is made up of committed, talented individuals who believe in our vision to bring quality, affordable healthcare to our communities.

Eleace Sawyers, MAcc, MPA, CHC

Chief Executive Officer

Eleace is an accomplished healthcare executive with over 20 years’ experience in the health care industry. Eleace is the Chief Executive Officer for Community Health Partnership of Illinois (“CHP”).  As CEO, she oversees an interdisciplinary staff, providing primary preventative healthcare via six (6) health centers from more than seven counties in the State of Illinois.

She is the proud recipient of numerous awards, including the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) 2022 Outstanding Migrant Health Public Service Award, 2022 Social Impact Woman to Watch Award, 2017 Who’s Who in Black Cleveland “Game Changer” award, 2016 Community Development Leadership and Supporter Award (Diaspora Arts Coalition), the 2014 Florida Association of Community Health Centers Partnership Award and the 2012 South Florida’s 100 Most Accomplished Caribbean American Award. 

Eleace serves on many communities and professional boards, is a graduate of Florida International University, where she earned a master’s degree in Public Administration. She also holds a master’s degree in Accountancy from Millsaps College, Jackson, Mississippi. She is a certified member of the Health Care Compliance Association and a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Pitamber Persaud, M.D.

Medical Director

Dr. Persaud has more than 18 years with Community Health Partnership of Illinois (“CHP”) working part-time as a Board-Certified Internal Medicine Physician.  In 2020, Dr. Persaud accepted the role of Medical Director directly supervising medical, clinical, behavioral  and Pharmacy services.

Dr. Ashu Rani Bansal, DDS

Dental Director

Dr. Bansal serves as Dental Director for Community Health Partnership of Illinois (CHP). She began her career with CHP as a staff dentist in 2021. Dr. Bansal previously worked as a staff Dentist for 3 years with Will County Health Department’s Community Health Center providing oral care for the underserved population of Will County. In these roles she focused on educating and treating children, their parents, and families on the importance of preventive dental care and health benefits. Additionally, she worked with Dental Dreams as a General Dentist providing dental treatments to patients of all age groups. Dr. Bansal enjoys volunteering at local dental health camps organized in the community. 

Nicolas Garcia

Vice President of Finance

Nicolas Garcia, promoted to Vice President of Finance April 2022.  Nicolas began his career at Community Health Partnership of Illinois (“CHP”)in August of 2000 as an accountant and was later promoted to Director of Finance in 2004. As the Director of Finance, Nicolas managed the fiscal operations of CHP. He started his accounting career in 1990 working for a manufacturing company, where he worked for 10 years as the accounting manager.  Nicolas holds a Master of business administration degree, a Bachelor of Arts degree with an emphasis in accounting, and an Associate Degree in computer science.

Bashar Bouso

Vice President of Information Technology

Bashar is a leader with 20+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, IT management, cybersecurity as well as IT projects implementation. Previously, Bashar worked in multi-million-dollar organizations in various industries including health care, hospitality, and software development. Bashar is the Director of Information Technology at Community Health Partnership of Illinois (“CHP”) which spans over six locations across the state of Illinois. He is member of the Executive Team and serves as CHP’s Security Officer and Cybersecurity Officer. Bashar is a graduate of Norther Illinois University (NIU).

Jina Ramirez, B.A

Vice President of Operations

Jina Ramirez is the Vice President of Operations at Community Health Partnership of Illinois (“CHP”).  Promoted in November 2021 after dedicating over 22 years of her life  serving migrant and seasonal agricultural workers and their families. Jina jointed the company in 2005 and served in various roles, to include; director of operations, clinic director, regional outreach coordinator, HIV/STI test counselor, migrant health advocate and Promotores de Salud program coordinator. Jina is bilingual in English and Spanish and holds a bachelor’s in business administration degree.
